Set up Cutme HR

Organisation structure, employees, logins and roles.

A new HR company starts with default roles, leave types (annual 21 days with monthly accrual, casual 7 days, sick and unpaid) and a default shift from 09:00 to 17:00, Sunday to Thursday. Build your organisation first, because every employee's hire record points to a company, department and position.

Steps

  1. Organization: rename your legal employer and add branches, departments, positions and job grades.
  2. Employees → Add employee. The employee number is assigned automatically; the national ID is validated and stored encrypted.
  3. Upload documents (contract, ID, permits) on the employee's page with expiry dates; expiring ones appear on the dashboard.
  4. Users & roles: give HR staff and managers a login and a role. Link an employee to their login so they get self-service.

Good to know

  • The national ID is required for Egyptian employees and is checked as a valid Egyptian national ID. Revealing it on screen needs a permission, and every reveal is logged.
  • Employees cannot be deleted. To end someone's employment, record a status change with the effective date and reason.
  • The dashboard lists probation periods, documents and work permits that end within the next 30 days.
  • Set each employee's line manager on their record: managers approve leave as the first step and see their team.

Common questions

Which roles are available?

HR comes with eleven default roles, including company administrator, HR director, HR officer, payroll preparer, payroll approver, line manager, auditor (read-only) and employee self-service. A user can hold more than one role.

Where are employee documents stored?

Documents are stored privately and can be downloaded only through the system, and each download is recorded in the audit log. Restricted and medical document categories are visible only to users with the matching permission.
