Set up Cutme Warehouse
Categories, products with barcodes and opening stock, suppliers, customers and users.
Cutme Warehouse tracks the quantity of every product as stock comes in from purchases and goes out with sales and returns. Start with your settings and categories, then add products with their opening quantities, so your first purchases and sales update the correct balances.
Steps
- User menu → Settings: choose the language, currency, whether products show a barcode or a QR code, how tax is calculated on sales, and whether to use expiry dates.
- Categories → Create Category for each product group.
- Products → Create Product: name, code, category, sale price and initial quantity. A barcode and QR code are generated from the product code; you can add an image.
- Suppliers → New Supplier and Customers → New Customer for the people you buy from and sell to.
- Users → Add User, and choose each user's role (Manager, Employee or Private).
Good to know
- Product names and product codes must be unique and at least 3 characters long. The product code is also used for the barcode and QR code, so choose codes you can print and scan.
- Settings are saved per user, so each colleague chooses their own language and display options.
- Manage Products can export your product list to CSV or Excel (XLSX) with each product's current quantity.
Common questions
Can I manage several warehouses or branches?
No. Cutme Warehouse keeps one stock figure per product, so there are no transfers between locations. If you need multi-branch stock, look at Cutme ERP.
Can I import my products from Excel?
There is no import screen in Warehouse, so products are entered one by one on screen. You can export the product list to CSV or XLSX at any time.
Why can I not delete a product?
A product that appears in any purchase, sale, return or stock count cannot be deleted, so its history stays complete. Products with no history can be removed.
