Accounting software for small and medium companies in Egypt

A small company in Egypt usually moves to accounting software when the owner can no longer see the true position from spreadsheets, or when the monthly VAT return takes days to rebuild. Cutme Accounting replaces the spreadsheets with double-entry books in Arabic, run in a browser, with a 14-day free trial and plans that include 3 users.

The usual problems with spreadsheets and paper

  • Nothing forces debits to equal credits, so errors surface months later, if at all.
  • The file lives with one person. When they are away, nobody knows the cash or the amounts owed.
  • Output and input VAT are assembled from invoices at the deadline instead of accumulating as the month goes.
  • A formula overwritten or a row deleted leaves no trace of who did it or what the number was.

What changes with Cutme Accounting

  • Every invoice, receipt and payment posts its own balanced journal entry, so the books balance by construction.
  • Posted entries cannot be edited or deleted, only reversed, and the audit trail records every change field by field with before and after values.
  • Permissions are set per action: the person who creates a sales invoice need not be the person who posts it.
  • The VAT return and withholding report come out of the ledger for any period.
  • Customer and vendor statements show who owes what without a separate sheet.

A practical first month

  1. Start the free trial and review the ready-made chart of accounts; add the accounts your business needs.
  2. Enter opening balances from your last closed figures as one journal entry.
  3. Add your cashboxes and bank accounts, then your customers and vendors.
  4. Record one real month of invoices, receipts and payments as they happen.
  5. At month end, compare the bank account ledgers with the bank statements and review the trial balance.
  6. Run the VAT return and withholding report for the month and check them against what you would have filed.

Users and cost

The trial and the plans include 3 users: one administrator and two users. Plans run for 6 or 12 months, are priced in Egyptian pounds on the plans page, and are paid by bank or mobile-wallet transfer. There is no automatic renewal. If you also need stock control or a sales pipeline, Warehouse and CRM are separate subscriptions; you do not pay for them unless you use them.

What Cutme does not do

  • No point of sale and no online card payment.
  • No bank feeds: bank transactions are recorded in Cutme, then reconciled against the statement.
  • One currency per company.
  • Cutme does not file tax returns; it calculates them for you to file on the ETA portal.

The full list of features and limits is in the official Cutme product reference.
